You can reset patron passwords via Patron Management only for patrons who log in via Prefix Authentication. Patrons will be notified of their new password via email. This feature does not apply for patrons who are authenticated through your ILS.
1. Click Settings from the Home page.
2. Select Patron Management.
3. Click the Reset Password icon next to the patron whose password you wish to reset.
4. Enter the New Password in the associated field. Confirm the New Password in the associated field. The password entered in this field must match the password entered in the New Password field. If it does not match, you will receive an error message. Email User is selected automatically to ensure that the patron will receive an email with the new password. Deselect this option to prevent an email from being sent to the patron. Click Update to make your changes. Click Cancel or to discard your changes.
